The Mission of the Worship Ministry
To glorify God through song, and to prepare hearts and minds to receive the preaching of God’s Word.
Philosophy of Worship
God’s Word instructs us to “worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.” In its purest form, worship is simply showing our affection and devotion to God. The goal of the Worship Ministry at Gashland Baptist Church is first of all to worship God and to lead others in worshipping God, with the ultimate goal of loving God “with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength” (Mark 12:30).
Psalm 96:1-3 gives us a blueprint for how we are to express our praise and worship.
“Sing a new song to the Lord; let the whole earth sing to the Lord. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wondrous works among all peoples”
Therefore, the Worship Ministry works to lead the congregation at Gashland to follow the Biblical command to sing our praises to the Lord so that, through song, we would declare God’s greatness, His works, and His salvation.

We have several avenues if you would like to get involved and serve in the Worship Ministry at Gashland.

If you have a talent for vocal or instrumental music, or have an interest in the technical side of things such as soundboard, livestream, or presentation software, we would love to talk with you about potentially becoming involved and serving in our Worship Ministry.
