Sam Bierig
Lead Pastor
Sam Bierig serves as Lead Pastor of Gashland Baptist Church and was installed in his position in December 2024. He has served in pastoral ministry for over a decade throughout Missouri and Arkansas. Pastor Sam holds a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he also serves as Dean of Spurgeon College and teaches as Associate Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology. He and his beloved wife Mallory have four children. Sam is passionate about seeing the members of Gashland Baptist Church grow in their love for and fear of the LORD.
Ryan Nix
Pastor of Families
Ryan began to serve as Pastor of Families at GBC in April of 2022. Ryan grew up south of Joplin in Neosho, Missouri but was born in Australia. He has been married to his wonderful wife Savannah since July of 2019 and she serves as an RN at St. Lukes here in KC. Ryan graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 with his Master’s of Divinity alongside B.As in Biblical Studies and in Business.
Bill Crouse
Music Minister
Bill became a member of Gashland’s Worship Team in 2018 and began serving as Music Minister in January of 2021. He is a native of Missouri and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) in Kirksville, MO. Bill served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania prior to coming to Gashland Baptist Church. He is married to Cathy and they have two married children and are the proud grandparents of two grandsons.
